Dr AR Subramanian, is a certified Cost & Management Accountant, Fellow member of The Institute of Cost & Works Accountants of India, Kolkatta, a faculty in Finance & Accounting Control, Business and Financial Laws . An alumnus of Madras University, has done his Ph.D in regulatory practices & mechanism of Indian Capital market in financial services arena. A Law Graduate from Lucknow University, is credited with a rich and varied experience of 29 years in both industry and academia. Prior to joining the Institute as Financial Controller & Registrar he was associated as faculty with IIM, Lucknow, The ICSI, The ICWAI. Apart from his teaching and research experience, he also served / held several other senior and administrative responsibilities including that of Financial Adviser and Member Secretary to the Board of Governors of IIM, Lucknow, Professor of Finance & Accounting Control, Registrar of NBRC, Manesar, a deemed University of Ministry of Science & Technology, Government Auditor in Comptroller & Auditor General of India for conducting audit of public sector units based in Maharastra.
His main areas of teaching, research and practice include Strategic Cost Management, Legal Aspects of Business, Regulatory system, practices and laws in Financial Sector such as Capital Market, Mutual Funds, Electricity, Competition Laws and other emerging areas including Financial Services, Corporate Governance, Management control systems, corporate social responsibility, Project Financing, Management Accounting and forensic auditing. He is a visiting faculty with The ICSI, IIM, Lucknow, AIMA and Ph.D / M.Phil Guide in a few Universities. Also handled a number of Consulting projects for IIM, Lucknow in the following major projects during the 9 years stint. Some of the organisations that were benefited by training, consulting include UPDASP, UPIDC, UPSFC, Handlooms Development Corporation of India, SIFSA, Lucknow.
Result oriented professional and well known financial administrator with experience in educational administration, planning & institutional development in higher education sector with teaching interest in the area of Management. He has experience in implementing strategies for capacity building, perspective planning, institutional image building through strategic initiatives. He is a member of Academic Advisory Board / Council in a number of Institutions / University. Published articles in both national and internationally referred journals. He has been associated with a number of forum such as FICCI, PHD Chamber of Commerce in education and services related Groups.
