Programs are integral part of the Institute. The Institute feels the dynamics of the business environment and incubates innovations for the emerging challenges. To equip the industry and to gather and exchange unique ideas from experts, the Institute conducts seminars and conferences. To give an extra edge to current practices, the Institute shares the experience through thought leadership and global perspective. In the recent past, the Institute has organized two International Conferences, one National Conference, four Seminars, five Workshops, one Faculty Development program and two Entrepreneur Development Programs. Recently the Institute has organized a Textile seminar on "Multi Discipline Performance Evaluation" in collaboration with ISI, Coimbatore and 2nd two weeks training on Textile Technology and Management for North East Entrepreneurs in collaboration with NSIC.
Enterpreneurship Development Program
SVPISTM is the nodal centre for an Open Learning Diploma in Business Entrepreneurship. To address the need of developing dynamic and motivated entrepreneurs, in collaboration with Entrepreneurship Development Institute of India, Friedrich – Naumann, Stiftung, Germany and National Science and technology Entrepreneurship Development Board, the Institute has taken upon itself the responsibility of fulfilling the instructional and motivational needs of aspiring entrepreneurs.
Nodal Center for Upgradation of Textile Education (NCUTE)
NCUTE was established on March 31, 1998 by Ministry of Textiles, Govt. of India at IIT, Delhi with the broad objective of enhancing textile industries performance through improved manpower training requirement, meet the challenges of emerging technology and quality of input, and to establish a dynamic system for reform of textile education in the country to meet with international standards and market demands. The Ministry of Textiles, Govt. of India, has transferred NCUTE to Sardar Vallabhbhai Patel International School of Textiles & Management (SVPISTM), Coimbatore with the mandate to implement the schemes and take it forward in future..
