IT Centre
The Institute has a modern multimedia computer laboratory with LAN Configuration. All students are encouraged to use the computers extensively for their project work and assignments. Free access to internet is extensive to the students enabling them to be well informed and updated about the textiles industry and management around the world.
The fact that the use of computers as a tool is vital for Design, Research & Development and Manufacturing Applications is no SVPISTM longer contested. The computer facilities include Local Area Networked Workstations with Internet access to all machines with Windows and Linux Operating System environments. The laboratory is equipped with state of art Textile and Garment Design facilities, 3D, Print CAD, development Softwares like Visual Studio, etc. All activities related to Information Technology and Digital Documentation is coordinated by the IT centre.

Computer Lab Facilities
- The Laboratory provides Modern Multimedia computer with LAN Configurations.
- The Laboratory provides Textile and Garment Design facilities, Garment CAD, Textile CAD and Print CAD with Graphics Card Systems.
- The Laboratory provides access to Internet through 1 Mbps broadband connection speed.
- The Laboratory connected with Local Area Networks, Local Mail Server and Intranet.
- The Laboratory provides textile print software for designing prints for textile products.
- The Design Lab is equipped with the advanced Softwares like Home Textile Studio, Visual Studio and .NET.
- The Laboratory extended to the students to access Network Printer & Scanner for their Project works and Assignments.

Rules And Regulations For Students
- Maintain Strict Silence while in lab.
- Students should write In-time and Out-time in the Register.
- Students should enter the printout details in the Register provided and obtain the approval of the supervisor.
- Students should store the contents only in their students work area in the server
- Students should not delete any files and folders in the Shared Folders
- Don’t fiddle any accessories, which is provided in the lab.
- Don’t remove the protective cover of the monitor.
- Students are not permitted in the Server Section.
