Academic Council, Industry Forum and academic Consortium help guide the Institute in achieving its goals and objectives.
The future prospects of SVPISTM are tremendous. We are establishing collaborations with industry and academicia in India and foreign countries as well.
The budding managers from SVPISTM are trained in all the spheres of management along with the necessary technical inputs by the experienced and highly qualified faculty members. The Institute also provides opportunity for the students to experience the textiles industry during their learning process in the form of industrial visits, field based projects and internships. They are also benefited by the well equipped and automated library which house around 4000 books (both textiles and management), 1200 on-line journals, databases of companies and periodicals, CDs and e-databases. The I.T. centre of the Institute is having around 50 desktop computers with internet connectivity, textile CAD, garment and textile printing softwares and design development softwares.
The Institute is also supporting the industry in the form of Continuing Educational Programs (CEP) such as Management Development Programs (MDP), Executive Development Programs (EDP) and Faculty Development Programs (FDP), etc. As a part of exchanging innovative ideas and information with the industry, the Institute is conducting seminars and conferences. The Institute has also inked Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) with Textiles Committee to implement the project titled "Strategies and Preparedness for Trade and Globalization in India" with the support of the Ministry of Commerce, United Nations Conference on Trade and Development (UNCTAD) and DFID, UK.
